transitions.

the move to alexandria went pretty smoothly. i have been here about two months now and it is just now beginning to feel like home. to be honest, its been a hard transition. i love being near joe (the boyfriend) but its hard not having my own friends (people here just don't get my jokes... or maybe no one ever did and it was all just courtesy laughs.)

i figured i should finally post some pictures of my apartment, even though i haven't officially finishing setting it up... but i honestly don't think it will ever be complete in my mind. i live in an old house-ish type building with old, wooden, creaky floors and plaster walls. i am learning the joys of no garbage disposal, no dishwasher, window air conditioning units and a tiny kitchen. it is quite wonderful though... so don't think i am complaining.
